Effective as of October 4, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Syndera collects, why, who we share it with and the rights you have. In short: we use your data to run Syndera for you, we don't sell it, we don't show ads, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
Questions? Write to hello@syndera.app.
1Who we are
Syndera is run by Ketryon AB, Sweden, which is the controller of the personal data described here. This policy covers the website at syndera.app, the app at syndera.app/app, and the emails and support that come with them. Words like “workspace” and “brand” mean what they do in our Terms of Service.
When you use Syndera to publish content that includes other people's personal data, such as faces or names in a video, you decide what is published and we process it on your behalf.
2Data we collect
| What | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account | Name, email address, sign-in details, the workspaces you belong to and your settings. |
| Brands and content | Brand voice and rules, files you upload, Motionpad renders, drafts, captions, schedules, and what you approve, edit or send back. |
| Connected accounts | Access tokens from each network, and the profile details they share with us: account or page name, handle, profile picture and the IDs needed to post. |
| Agent sources | What you point the agent at, such as a render library, a repository's commit messages, a feed or an app's store status. |
| Billing | Plan, invoices, company name, address and VAT number. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see full card numbers. |
| Usage and devices | Log data such as IP address, browser, pages and actions in the app, errors, and how many drafts and renders you use. |
| Messages | What you write to us by email or support. |
We don't read your direct messages, comments or analytics on the networks: Syndera publishes, it doesn't fetch.
3How we use it, and why we may
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Running Syndera: your account, drafting, checks, renders, scheduling and posting what you approve | Contract |
| Billing, bookkeeping and tax | Contract and legal obligation |
| Keeping Syndera secure, preventing abuse and fixing errors | Legitimate interest |
| Improving Syndera from aggregated usage | Legitimate interest |
| Service emails, such as a failed post or a billing notice | Contract |
| Product news by email | Consent, which you can withdraw in any email |
4AI processing
To draft posts and run brand checks, Syndera sends the relevant content to an AI model provider: your brand's settings, the file or source the post is about, and your instructions. Motionpad renders are made the same way. The providers process this only to return a result to us, under terms that don't let them train their models on it.
We don't use your content to train models, and we don't make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects by automated means.
5Connected networks
When you connect a network, it shares an access token and basic profile details with us, within the permissions you grant on its sign-in screen. We use them only to show which account you're posting to and to publish, schedule or boost the posts you approve. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising. You can disconnect an account in Syndera, which deletes its tokens, or revoke access in the network's settings.
YouTube and Google
Syndera uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Syndera's access at any time on Google's security settings page; we then delete the YouTube data we hold within 30 days. Syndera's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and X
Data these networks share with us is used only to publish for you, as described above. Their own privacy policies cover what they do with the content you publish there. To have us delete data received from any of them, disconnect the account in Syndera or follow the steps under Deleting your data.
7Transfers outside the EU
Some providers process data outside the EU and EEA, for example in the United States. When they do, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with extra safeguards where needed.
8How long we keep it
- Account, brands and content: while your account is active. When you delete a workspace or your account, we delete its content within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days.
- Network tokens: until you disconnect the account or delete your workspace.
- Billing records: seven years, as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.
- Logs: up to 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse.
9Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, network tokens are stored encrypted, and access within our team is limited to those who need it to run Syndera. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data, or send it to another service;
- correct data that's wrong;
- delete your data, or limit how we use it;
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent you've given, without affecting what happened before.
Write to hello@syndera.app and we'll answer within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the authority where you live.
11Deleting your data
To delete data Syndera holds about you, including data received from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X or YouTube:
- To remove one network: open Brands, choose the brand, go to Channels and disconnect the account. Its tokens are deleted right away.
- To remove everything: open Settings, go to Your data and delete your account.
- Or email hello@syndera.app from your account's address and ask us to delete it.
Posts already published stay on the networks until you remove them there.
13Children
Syndera is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children; if you think we have, write to us and we'll delete it.
14Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect and update the date at the top.
